any opinion on a service to use that would allow mobile internet usage/streaming movie, TV?

I can tell of our experience with T-Mobile. Picked up one of their mobile hotspots last year. Went from Michigan to Montana and back. Totally worthless the entire way. No service at all (either driving or at any place we stayed).
My wife had much better coverage from our TracPhones.
