will unfortunately for me I don't have much experience with engines so Im still learning. I'm not to into doing things wit AI but I don't have sum1 sitting here showing me or telling me what they know or how to properly do things either. and I can't afford a mechanic so the best way I can figure is to just figure it out myself the best I can. people make mistakes were not all professionals. with that being said....... I switched the carburetor out and not even thinking I took the gasket off put it on the new 1 put it back together and turned on my engine it started and died so I switched on the fuel started it again and it pretty much started coming from every hole in the carburetor. I turned it off and haven't touched it after that so I'm planning on going to get a rebuild kit today sum time and do it rite and not short cut it

I empathize with your situation and I am sure this is frustrating. But it sounds like you have fuel leaks, and things got worse when you swapped the carburetor out. You also mentioned the fuel runs out when you try and add it. Has this been fixed? How old is the fuel in it? Anyway, the common denominator seems to be fuel, fuel, fuel. And like was mentioned before, trying to armchair diagnose this on a forum is next to impossible. It could be the fuel itself, the lines cracked, leaks not providing proper pressure, varnish in everything, rust/debris in the tank clogging the pump, the fuel pump itself, spark plugs, distributer. If someone were to restore this 40 year old motor that's been sitting dormant for 10 years, the procedure would be to replace everything fuel related. From the tank, to the pump to the lines and carburetor. Sounds like you are on a budget so strict, it may inhibit this thing from ever running properly. Good luck and seek as much free help from someone who knows engines as possible. Local FB groups might be a place to start for free help with it.
