My beloved Komfort brand is no more :(

I just realized that my beloved Komfort brand RV no longer exists. Sure I realize that since Dutchmen took over the name that the brand that was once so revered had faded but I am surprised that they would kill such a well respected brand name. Our 2012 Komfort has been nothing but good to us and the people I dealt with at Komfort were equally awesome. Ill miss you old friend :(

I agree Dutchman messed up and killed the komfort brand. I had a komfort resort 24rk and it was an awesome trailer. I traded it in for a Dutchman Denali and that was my worst trailer I have ever owned. It was actually made at the old komfort plant in Portland that Dutchman ruined. Rip komfort.

Having owned so many, one would think you would know the brand is Dutchmen.

Absolutely the best built trailer not even close to the 3 previous ones we owned.

Sad to hear...I guess IF (and it's not going to happen) we were to buy another TT, we would look to Arctic Fox now that Komfort is gone.

x2...We love our 2007 Komfort Trailblazer that was built in Clackamus Oregon. It has been a relatively trouble-free unit.
  • Here is a reply I recieved from Dutchmen when I asked them for an update....

"Thank you so much for your inquiry concerning Komfort fifth wheels. We’re excited to tell you that we’re redesigning the Komfort line, which will make them even more beloved than before! We’re in the final prototyping stages with this product, and intend to introduce them (probably with a name change) in another couple of months at our fall dealer meeting. Thank you for your continued support!"
  • Completely agree. We've owned 4 Komforts over the years, all built here in Oregon. Our current is an 05 rear kitchen 5er. I don't see too many others I would rather have even with some nice bells and whistles the new ones have. I can install the new trinkets and still have a paid off rig.
  • Agreed. Our 2013 5th is the only rv we've owned that has not had any major issues.
