Very possible. I have learned the hard way that the obvious can happen :-) Water takes the path of least resistance to the lowest spot. Sometimes that can be clear on the other side of the camper from where the leak is. Corret, do not use silicone. Go to an RV store and ask for self leveling roof sealant. They will probably have some sitting right near the counter and hand you a tube and your ready to go. Just cover the crack and let it sit and it will self level. Check all the other caulk on the trailer while your up there.
