Mystery Water Leak's
Hello,
Before I start taking things apart on my trailer this weekend I figured I'd ask the folks here if they have any ideas what might be causing the water leaks I'm seeing.
The TH is a Forest River Stealth FS2612 with an enclosed underbelly, so it’s not clear where the leaks are coming from until I get the enclosure part removed. Took the trailer camping MDW and never did see a leak while camping. After driving home for about an hour we stopped to dump the tanks and I noticed where water was leaking between the enclosure material and the frame (appears to be fresh water). First thought was maybe there was an overflow in the fresh tank it was spilling out, but I didn’t have much water in the tanks and if that were the case it would have done it on the way camping while my tanks were full, which it didn’t. I’m thinking the leak has to be under the trailer at the tanks. I did notice this last year while camping but never got around to looking at it. Probably won’t know much until I get the enclosure off, but thought I’d throw it out there.
The second leak is a real odd one. This one appears to be on the inside of the trailer and only happens when I’m emptying my tanks. I think it’s in the TH because the drip is along the outside edge of the trailer wall where it hangs over the frame. This is also the side my shower, sink, water lines, and water heater are all on. Again it looks to be fresh water. Now what is odd is if I turn on (open up) the kitchen or bathroom sink (without out the pump on) it doesn’t leak. It’s almost like there’s some sort of pressure issue which is making something inside leak. This only happens when I empty the tanks, it doesn’t happen when are camping and using the pump, etc.
If anyone has an idea feel free to put it out there. The second leak really has me scratching my head. Thanks
