For years I have had a policy for all of our ranch risks for both ranches. For the RV (our Monty at present) I have also had GMAC Insurance throught Good Sam since we are long-time Live Members. We have never had a claim with GMAC.
One of my employees had a Progressive Insurace Policy on his motor home for a few years. Three years ago Progressive notified him that his policy was cancelled for the reason of an auto accident. The letter stated that he could re-instate the policy but only with over doubling of the premium.
My employee wrote back, and phoned, informing Progressing that he had never been in any auot accident. He contacted the Colorado Dept of Motor Vehicles and received a statement from that agency that there was no record of any motor vehicle accident charged to to him or his vehicles.
Even after sending the DMV record to Progressive, the Insurance Company refused to make a correction, stating that they had a record of an accident charged to him. My employee changed Insurance carriers and his new carrier issued a new policy with a much lower rate than even his original Progressive rate, due to a record of no accidents.
