Nationwide requirement for CDL when driving/towing over 10k?

Heard a rumor today from an RV dealer that legislation is coming that will require a CDL (Nationwide) when driving or towing anything over 10,000 lbs. Seems like just a rumor to me but don't put anyth...

I don't know about other states, but in the state of Georgia, Class C means: Less than or equal to 26,000 lbs. GVWR and Trailer less than or equal to 10,000 lbs. All recreational vehicles included.
