Nationwide requirement for CDL when driving/towing over 10k?

Heard a rumor today from an RV dealer that legislation is coming that will require a CDL (Nationwide) when driving or towing anything over 10,000 lbs. Seems like just a rumor to me but don't put anyth...

"Imagine the embarrassment of the owner of a Prevost when he was ticketed and his MH was towed to the impound lot because he didn't have an air brake endorsement on his Illinois "Class D" drivers license."

More internet folklore. I have an Illinois class "B" license and have never heard of an air brake endorsement for RV's.
