The problems with the Baby on Board stickers are:
1) their purpose was to simply inform rescue personnel that a baby was in the vehicle at the time of an accident in case the baby was thrown from the vehicle.
But somehow it got distorted into people thinking it meant everyone was supposed to drive extra carefully around the vehicle and/or give that vehicle the right of way;
And 2) people never removed it from their vehicle when the baby wasn't in the vehicle, thereby doing away with any benefit it was meant to provide.
