The 205/75/14 Duro DS2100 tires on my camper are right at 7rs old according to the date code on them....I let them go to long. They look fine, but I don't want to risk it....so its time for a new set of tires.I've called the local camping world and a few tire shops....and there doesn't seem to many options for good tires in that size.Camping World has some Carlisle tires for a good price, they also have some cheap China tires for a little less....Freestar I think. A local tire shop has Vanguard tires, but I don't know much about them After reading online.....it seems like just about every tire brand has people who like them, and those who hate them. I'm just looking for a decent tire that will last. Are the Carlisle tires any good? What about the Freestar tires?

I'm sure you've searched this forum for Carlisle and Freestar, and searched 'tires' in whatever forum your camper fits.

I have found some places that can order the Maxxis tires.....but I need new tires before the weekend....so I would like to go with something that the local shops have in stock.

I'm sure the OP has made his purchase by now. I use and like the Maxxis M8008. I will consider the USA manufactured Goodyear Endurance next time.

should serve you well. Get high pressure snap-in stems and run 60/65 psi.

My OEM bias ply DUROs were ALL separating at 2.5 years. Discovered when one shredded. Consider yourself lucky.

I ran a set of Maxxis on my trailer without a problem. They aged out so I was in the market again and had read a lot of good things about the Carlisle HD tires. When I checked with Discount Tire they had them in stock while they would have to order the Maxxis and the Carlisles were quite a bit cheaper.

I have the Carlisles on now and with only two years in, they are doing well. AND, they have an 80 Mph rating, not that I would ever go that fast. It is nice to know that there is a bit of a cushion though.

I had Maxxis M8008. One tire tread separated after 2.5yr. Now I have Carlilse Radial Trail HD, but only 1 yr old

Go with the Carlisle. They make a very good ST tire. And yes, I ran them for almost four years on a fiver with no issues. Plus being LRD will help you out a little. Run them at the cold max pressure and press onward!

If you got that many years of service from those Duro blows as their called around the trailering world, just about any ST tire will work for you.

I would go with a Carlisle HD.....or the Provider......or Goodyears new made in the USA Endurance. All are the new gen higher L and M speed rated tires.
