too meny stories, I almost bought a used one ,then went new just because two X two equaled 5 in there story.this was on a LTV , I took the vin mumber to a dodge dealer and found out it had been wrecked, that did not show on car fax..

I have know idea why finance would be involved ? Maybe when the USED RV lot called Nexus that's who they were directed to or answered ?

I hate being lied to and yeah I know we get lied to everyday ...
At the RV lot the sales guy was up front and said the unit had been there since Oct. 17th. Its dead and they were willing to deal.
He then introduces us to the owner (which later found out he was the one that bought it at the auction) The owner comments to us after intros "yes its a nice RV we've only had it on the lot a week"...

This took place this last Sat. We drove it , but the coach batteries 4 (never saw that many before) were all dead ! No lights , nothing worked in the coach.
They tried to hook it up to shore and still nothing.
I told them to let me know when they get it figured out and call me , we left and went to other RV dealers.
I got a call from the sales guy stating they got it figured out , the batteries needed charged up..
Sunday we go back did another walk around then fired up the generac gen 3600watt inside its decently quite. ran the a/c then heater etc. seemed ok noticed the hour meter on the gen was 89.9 hrs..

On the test drive which I have another post here asking about a MAJOR squeak etching noise coming from behind the panels each side where the seatbelts are bolted to, shoulder/eye level area.. This had it Sat when we drove it , Sun when we drove it again it was alot louder.!!

Just got another email from Nexus
They sent the build sheet. It sold for $56,763
And this RV lot is asking $53,999 for it they did come down to $50K needs to come down alot more than that...
Yeah I'll be looking at new !!!

Been there, done that and I don't see a problem. I bought our 2012 Nexus Phantom 23P(see my sig), from La Mesa RV 15 months ago. It had 6,205 miles on it, 8.8 hours on the genset for $47,000. If this one is half as clean and nicely equipped as mine and you can buy it for $47,500 I think you would be wise to do so.

We flat out love our 23P, without question one of the best built high end coaches I have ever encountered. I had been negotiating with Dave Middleton, a co founder/owner of Nexus for several weeks to have them build me a new unit for around $62,000 and was literally and eyelash away from flying to Elkhart to do the deal when our 2012 popped up at LMRV on the internet.

When I called Dave the next day to tell him we had purchased the 2012 he was the consummate gentleman. He congratulated me on a great price, formally welcomed me to the "Nexus Family" and then asked if there was anything he could do for me. I asked if he could send me the specs from the original sale, gave him the Vin # and the next morning they were e mailed to me.

Last June I had the opportunity to visit the Nexus facility in Elkhart and despite not buying from them we were treated royally. Fred, their general operations manager took over and hour out of his busy day for a personal factory tour. While there I had two minor modifications done (added another set of seatbelt and moved the spare to a custom under the coach rear mount. Their labor rate was a very reasonable $75 an hour.

I also authorized them to fix what had become a chronic PITA, every time we fueled it took forever as the pump kept burping/shutting off. Often it took 20 minutes to get 30 or 40 gallons in. I suspected the fuel vent hose was compromised but it turned out to be main fuel fill hose. It had been twisted out of alignment by Ford and the kink was restricting the flow to a veritable trickle.

They spent a couple of hours finding and fixing the problem by pulling the hose off and properly reinstalling it. They then put 5 gallons of gas through it just to make sure they solved the problem. When I asked for the bill i was told "No charge!" While Ford had caused the problem they felt it should have caught it because "we build a better coach than that". Keep in mind I was not the original owner and the coach was a year out of warranty.

After 16 months and more than 21,000 miles we could not be more pleased with the quality of our Nexus. My experience with everything Nexus has been 100% positive.

Why would Nexus finance be involved with the dealer selling the unit? It sounds as though Nexus is owed some money from the original owners and using the dealer to recover some of it. Dealer may have entered into an agreement with Nexus. And why no information on the new unit. It could be an excellent purchase, but I would be very sure you end up with clear title and no liens. Call the selling dealer an ask the questions.

Nexus only sells the C Class as Factory direct, there are no dealerships only showrooms , Indiana, Florida and California ..
The RV place is just a small place selling used RV's.
They did show me a Carfax (which I know all about those things)
The carfax showed it was first sold and went to the state of Nevada Las Vegas with 1,122 miles, then it sold at auction.. Modesto Toyota in Ca bought it 5/26/14 with 9,197 miles , they replaced a battery in it on 6/06/14 .
Then 10/13/14 this RV place where its at bought it at auction with 10,477 miles.
Somewhere along the line somebody put in a Dirctv receiver big sealed up looking dish on the roof (activision I believe sticker on the housing) and a Banks cat back exhaust Banks K&N filter and a Banks tuner hand held I saw that in the Glovebox.

I thought I was having a nice conversation with the Sales rep guy at Nexus ?
So I was expecting more than just the response email I got..

sounds like they both know each other, and if new is $57k work on a new one,,find a different dealer..

Sounds like he is dumping you back to the dealer.

See what happens when you ask the dealer for the data.

If they don't fix you up, I'd scratch Nexus off my list.
