something similar happened to friends of ours in Yuma foot hills about two years ago. their neighbors scared the kid away

This was in nearby Vancouver WA. I hope that the cell phone left at the scene helps them find the people who where stealing the trailer!

I think it's great that he stopped, but honestly, if it were my RV, I would have preferred him to just write down the license plate number, etc., and call the cops and not have tried to tackle the thief. I could have never enjoyed my RV again if those punks had beat the c##p out of my neighbor (or worse, killed him).
