Like others said, driveway camping is great. It'll help you get a feeling for what you might want/need.
Find a large empty parking lot to practice maneuvering. Work out communication between the driver and spotter beforehand.
We also find it helpful to keep all separate supplies in the trailer. It gives us less to pack and forget. We just bring clothes and food then restock anything we've used between trips.
Most importantly, take your time and have fun. You're guaranteed to forget things and make mistakes. If you're going slow those mistakes are generally smaller.
