New owners of Blue Ox Sway pro who previously owned Reese...

Dual Cam Sway Control system (Strait-Line) or Equalizer Brand Sway Control system. That being the "NEW" Sway Pro, with the Fixed angled head with "NO" friction adjustment in the head, and the new chain Rotary bracket.

What's your experiences with this Blue Ox in high winds, emergency maneuvers, and passing semis compared against the Reese Dual Cam system or Equilizer brand system???

Looks like my Dual Cam system (Strait-Line) is wearing out and don't want the complexity of it or the Equalizer system. Hoping that the Blue Ox system performs equally well, even though it's hard to tell by it's rather simple design.

Thanks

Here is one. I seem to remember some others also but do not have the time to find them right now.

I read that, and even though I get no sway, wind will still push the rig as one. If a semi passes, blocking that wind, it will affect the force pushing you and you'll have to adjust accordingly.

I'm thinking that poster just doesn't remember that with his Dual Cam because that's not a factor of sway but push.

In fact, changing over to LT tires on my truck, from it's squishy P-series tires, really helped stability when that 'push' happens.

Before when pushed, the truck would rock back, when the force was gone, with the very flexible side walls. Now with the LT tires, I still feel the initial push, but I don't get that rocking back as my sidewalls now are load E and very stiff. No more unstable towing in side wind gusts from that constant rocking back and forth. Much more enjoyable to tow now. :)

From what I have read, it is not up to the sway control of either one.
Too bad, as I had high hopes for it because of its simplicity.

Barney....how about a link or source to this?
    Thanks.

Actually, even though it is much more effort to install and adjust properly, it is very hard to beat the results of the Dual Cam system unless you spend the much bigger bucks for a Hensley.
