You said the F150 will out perform any 2500 gasser....but it still won't out perform the 2500 Rams load carrying capacity or towing capacity.
Nor will the F150 out perform s 2500 chevy LTZ 6.0 gasser 4.10 gears at 3749 lb payload and 14500 lb tow rating.
Nor Fords F250 6.2 gasser with a 3640 lb payload and a 15400 lb tow ratings.
Every one of those top numbers are higher than the f150 for sure, but I originally said it would outperform. The three examples you give are all powered by large displacement V-8 and 4.10 axle ratios. They are all going to weigh at least #1000 more than the f150. A person would be lucky to get much better than 11-14 non-towing mileage with any of those vehicles . I know that some people may not care about mileage, but why not, when it is available.
The f150 will tow #12,100 with a 3.55 axle ratio. Do any of those trucks even have the option of a 3.55? In fact the f150 can tow over #10,000 with a 3.15 axle ratio. That is outperforming...not topping out higher, simply outperforming. For these reasons; in the weight range that the OP was inquiring about, the f150 will outperform all of the 3/4 ton trucks you list. 90% of the ecoboosts 420 ft/Lbs of torque is accessible at 1700 rpm. I am sure the three trucks you list with their 4.10s are going to live in a much higher rpm range for 90% of their torque.
I also mentioned if the OP was considering a 3/4 ton, go diesel. For me personally if I needed to exceed the f150 #s I would choose diesel over gas. I am not anti-3/4 ton...just not that impressed with the 3/4 gas performance.
