And that is also bad advice, IMO.
The diesel engines are heavy as hell and eat up a lot of payload, leaving many 2500 diesels with less available payload than many 1500 trucks.
If someone wants a diesel truck for towing an 8,000 pound+ trailer, I would highly recommend going with a 3500. If they want a gas engine, a 2500 would be fine, but diesels in 2500s don't make much sense to me, unless they are using the truck to tow lawnmowers on a utility trailer or something like that.
