- j-dExplorer IIYes. 2009 King Cab 2WD XE 4-cyl 5-speed. The 4x4 manual can be towed with transfer case in 2WD High Range which makes it the same as towing a 2WD manual. The automatics aren't towable, not even the 4x4's, since the transfer case doesn't have Neutral.
We have a Roadmaster base plate, Falcon AT tow bar, Brake Buddy, and separate LED Stop/Turn/Tail lights.
Our Frontier rides like a mid-sized car and it's quiet. Feels like a larger truck.
Biggest complaint is it has a very large turning radius.
Another OP here has a newer Frontier, V6 2WD 6-speed and likes it a lot. - RVMikeExplorerThat might be me. Love it, No fuses to pull and no mileage on the od when towed.
- j-dExplorer IIHey Mike!
Yep, 'twas you I thought of.
A really nice truck. If I was to describe it in one word, it'd be SOLID - RVMikeExplorerThanks JD, only have 2k miles towing so far since many trips are local. I used to tow a Baja bug and the Frontier is just as easy
