Trailer inspection has been on the books for years. The change is mainly aimed at false license and inspection stickers that are a sizable industry here in Texas. Along with fake driver licenses it's a major problem here. I don't think the fees have gone up, but I could be wrong. People will need a valid inspection that is electronically transmitted to the state. Without it the vehicle can't be licensed. I'm for it if only because it will remove a lot dangerous vehicles from the roads.
