Once again, I am glad to live in Montana!
Trailers (any size/type) are permanently registered. No renewal is ever required as long as it doesn't change ownership. No inspection is required, other than VIN verification for some transfers.
Sometimes there are good things to make up for the rotten winters and income tax!
