The state has put a stop to all that, effected March 1st. You will have to have a successful inspection in the electronic database before the state will renew your license plates. There is a special process for out-of-state RV'rs. Now I have to find some place big enough to drag my 38' fiver!

by out of state do you mean texas rigs that are out of state when the inspection is due or are they proposing to inspect rigs registered in other states which happen to be in Texas? I assume it's the former but I learned long ago not to assume.
