Yes there are reasonable expectations of privacy, here it being the women’s room, but do you have a right to complete privacy in a public bath/shower room … absolutely not, it is public with limited privacy…

so while I believe as most do the woman was wrong for bringing the boy into the woman’s room, the rant about it is more than biased like almost every rant I have read before… it has nothing to do with making anyone the bad guy… I do think it was some inconsiderate use with a wrong response to it, and that is all there is to it…

while it isn’t the answer for this problem one suggestion that could be made to the CG is the clear curtain goes between the shower and dressing area… it provides some level of privacy that way and allows one to both protect and watch their belongings while showering…
Why would we expect the establishment to do all the thinking and take responsibility for every potential idiot out there? Perhaps it has to do with change but most of us remember how to take care of ourselves and deal with issues that are out of touch with reality.
And we are quick to assume that the lady with the boy had a valid reason to bring him in the ladys room. I on the other hand assume that shes just an idiot who can't cut the apron strings.

now what I don’t understand is posting a rant on a public forum and there being any expectation of other than a public response, both supportive or skeptical by the poster, the readers, or responders…

We agree she assumed he was old enough… obviously she was uncomfortable and I am not condoning what the op claimed the woman with the boy did, it was wrong…

If you actually read my post you would see I do agree with how you said it might have or should have been handled by the woman with the child…

What I don’t buy is the woman with the boy is the automatic idiot here… possibly angry, possibly provoked to react …
I think and assume the OP and her friend that seldom use the public facilities were monopolizing the facility doing their womanly things and sitting around chatting for at least a ½ hour… between chemical application, chatting time, and showering probably closer to a 1 and a ½ hours and with enough chatting maybe 2 hours…
I also believe the woman with the boy, maybe having other things to do herself, got mad waiting for a long time, and I don’t know if she didn’t say something or did and was ignored or snubbed, causing her action… but it makes sense that maybe …

None of which makes the woman with the boys actions right… but because of inconsistencies and fluid responses reading between the lines of a Rant and my own assumptions, I believe she had some type of provocation causing her response…

So I will avoid the term idiot and say what I believe, is there was a huge amount of inconsideration on one part some provocation by someone or several someone’s, and a very poor response by the woman with the boy…
A case of two wrongs and no rights, and one trying to pass all the blame onto someone that can’t defend herself…

This question makes no sense at all… the suggestion has nothing to do with this thread… only that if you have two curtains it makes sense to put the see through one between the shower and drying area and allows you to watch your belongings while showering, and the opaque one where it offers privacy to both areas… man you like to use the word idiot a lot…

The number of fixtures is based on occupancy and calculated by minimum required as determined by the plumbing code. The IPC actually allows for a reduction of water closets in loo of urinals (pun intended...LOL) so generally there are less WC's in the men's toilet room.

Um, most of us ride around in RVs. All of these RVs have showers. Use them. Creepy situations are avoided this way.

7 years RVing here. Average 150 nights per year. We have never used a CG shower. It not like we are modest or anything. We used to shower ondeck in the evening in our early boating days. Can't see the point in going for a hike for a shower when you have one built in steps away.

I just can't wrap a handle on the excuse that the OP was spending way too long in the ladies room. Lets say she walked in at 8:00 AM and didn't plan on leaving until 5:00 PM that afternoon because she and her friends were playing poker. What difference does it make? The idiot could have let her son use the mens room where there was a lot of room. Or she could have stopped by either mens or womens room door and announce she had to take here xx year old son into the restroom. She choose to just walk him into the ladies room where there wasn't any room according to you, JJBIRISH and shock the occupants. I just don't get it....obviously you also just don't get it.
I wasn't there, so I don't know if the boy had to have his mother hold his hand or not, but he should not be in the ladies room unannounced.

First, the young man should have been forced to turn away and face the wall until the "accommodations" were resolved. Bad parents would fail to do this.

Second, if there was ANY reason for him to be there (accident, surgery, handicap, emergency, etc), at any of the places we've been, not only would any of the men be more than willing to vacate the men's room, we would have gladly stood at the door until they were finished.

We attend festivals, craft shows, stuff like that, which often overwhelms the facilities. In urgent situations, we've helped coordinate a "switching use" of the men's room when the ladies room line got too long.

There are ways to handle these situations, but FORCING anyone to be ogled is NOT acceptable under any circumstances.

Of course, if the mother simply slapped a skirt on him, he can apparently go into the ladies room and ogle whomever he wants any time he wants and the police can be called to FORCE YOU to LET HIM!

Let me get this straight before anyone in your camp calls the police and they want to make sure that they can stay at your park they need to clear that with you???????????????????
If so please either IM me the name of your park so I can make sure I do not stay there or if you really believe there is nothing wrong with that policy let me know the name of your park here in public viewing

If you are calling the police for things like this, without first trying to get a resolution from the management, yes I am going to toss you. The park doesn't need the entertainment, doesn't need the distraction or the police arriving and questioning guests and doesn't need to earn the reputation of being "the boy who cried wolf" park in the unlikely event we ever really do need police assistance. There are ways to handle things, and channels people should take to get issues resolved. Calling the cops because there is a boy in the women's restroom with one of their parents is an extreme over-reaction.

You may wish to seriously reconsider your position.

1. You have NO AUTHORITY to tell anyone they cannot call the police any time they feel harassed, endangered, or been a victim or witness of a CRIME.

2. You have NO AUTHORITY to investigate, prosecute, decide upon, or do anything else other than STOP a crime you PERSONALLY WITNESS.

3. Preventing anyone access to police under threat, emergency or not, could have very serious civil and even criminal repercussions.

I won't even begin to mention all the LIABILITY you could face by denying anyone access to police services by this kind of threat to "toss them"

Police are trained to prioritize and investigate crimes and violations of the law. YOU are NOT trained and authorized to do so. In fact, in many areas, by attempting to do so, YOU could be charged with a crime yourself.

Hopefully, you are simply posting more of your "internet bravado" and never intend to actually take the kind of action you propose. Doing so could be so disastrous, that SOMEONE ELSE could end up owning all your "parks"
