Me again ... I'm a stubborn old codger, but not so stubborn I won't listen. Our last trip (to Florida over Christmas week), we were on our way home. Stopped at a fast food restaurant. Couldn't figure out how to get into the parking lot so swung around the building next road over. Found a back entrance. Only problem was, I was facing the wrong way. Went ahead and pulled in with all intentions of backing up and turning around.
In so doing, I was getting myself more and more jammed up. The back tires of the truck kept heading for a curb at the entrance. I did not see it at all. A guy in his car jumped out and started pointing. I moved the electric mirror on the passenger side downward, and sure enough, I was heading right for that curb. I would have bumped it, been embarrassed, and probably no damage except my pride.
He then motioned to me to wait. He pulled out of his spot, gave me a wave, and that gave me the extra room I needed to just park long-ways taking about 16 parking spots in a row along the side of the building.
Had I not paid any attention or ignored him, I would have felt really stupid. He got me out of a tight pickle, of which I was most thankful for.
So sometimes..... help is wanted ... and then ... sometimes its not....
