my DH was an aircraft mechanic for nigh on 35 years, and during that time, he drove a semi for his brother whenever he was laid off or on strike or whatever.
so of course he knows how to back a big rig, but he had to teach me how to be a good spotter. now I know how to direct him with silent hand motions and he knows he has to get out of the MH and come show me exactly where he wants his rear tires to end up.
I also know I'm supposed to look up to see if any tree branches are going to impale the a/c or scratch the sides, etc etc.
It took us about 5 years to work it out between us because he is not a patient man and I am a stubborn woman... :)
