I just notice some of the normal traits that are everywhere. Cigarette butts everywhere. Don't laugh at the idea of a five center each deposit. Think about it.
One baffling thing that I noticed was a guy in high dollar rv running a gen 12 hours a day. Yes, the rules allowed operation from 8 to 8 so it's no ones business but his but just using my fingers and doing some simple rough calculations it would seem like he would have opted for the full hook ups for $32.00 instead of the dry camp for $24.00?
For eight dollars a night he listened to a generator for 12 hours a day, put hours on gen, bought fuel for gen, take gen in for maintenance etc. There was no a/c running. Maybe he had some special medical needs? Still baffling but not my business. How would I handle it? Not say a word, it's within the rules. Say he approached me and said wow I noticed you only ran your genny an hour or so today. I would then participate in discussing his situation. I would ask a few questions about being sure the water levels are up, offer to use my meter to check voltages etc. I'd even help him pull any bad batteries if he wanted to replace them. Heck yeah, lets cruise into town and get one.
I would never put my nose in first. Doing so plants a seed in his mind that the gen running all day is an issue. He has a right to run it with not ONE word being said. If he opened the door I would do everything I can to help. I recently needed to do a long charger on my bank and I wanted to do it with my good battery charger, not my converter or TV. I just planned it out so the gen was running while traveling, not sitting in the campground.
Cig butts? Dog doo? Paper? Litter? Plastic burning? You wont stop it because there are just inconsiderate ignorant people out there. It's pretty much a hit or miss thing like much of life. Sometimes it's your turn in the barrel. We can try to address it with the management but it may be an overwhelming task depending how bad this particular turn in the barrel is.
So.....many people like me prefer to lessen the chance of exposure to these people by searching out remote, less used places. It has even crossed my mind to have a little piece of property where its warm just to boon dock on.
Kids are kids and we were all one at one time. What can you do.
Many things would be better if people stopped and thought about others first. That's the problem, they think of only themselves.
Even if I'm at home and I want to do something I stop and think about it. If I'm going to run a circular saw I look around and see if the seasonal people are up and sleeping in today. Sure the building code says I can start work at 6:00 am but I wait till 9:00 or 10:00. I just get everything ready and do all quiet stuff first.
