You really need to read your last line in red in your profile.
Pretty poor and sad to play your music "real loud" in a campground. Why enjoy the reason for camping and the nature around those areas? I don't care what speakers are in your TC how sad is that. Home is where you can have a proper system and even though we have good sound in the camp we "keep it to ourselves" There is no need to be the idiot of the camp or the child.
Pink Floyd is old heck listened when it was new but today there are better choices try to enlarge your scope I carry 800 gigs of music which we can have any kind anywhere.
It was a light hearted post. Yes in this day we all have access to large banks of storage. Yes we enjoy other music beside Pink Floyd. Yes we respect others right to privacy. There are times and places where you can crank a old classic song without bothering anybody.
I guess this is a complainer thread.
Music is about quality not quantity. - RaftenExplorerNot trying to troll this but it seems like most of the response is from east of the Rockies, just a lot more crowded camping back there?

Yep, everything from DJ stuff to Jazz to Rock, punk hip-hop, folk you name it! I get more every week - tnscoutrExplorerBut it is my understanding that everything that has been complained about so far is OK if it is a Wal-Mart parking lot!!!
- hawkeye-08Explorer III... and don't forget people cutting through your site when there is a path to the showers/restrooms.

You left out generators and porch lights.
regarding porch lights...
We went camping with Dad last summer and had dinner in our trailer... when it went back to his, it was dark so I turned on the porch light so you could see... forgot to turn it off.
Next morning, I commented to Dad that he was up early, I saw his light on at 4am, and then I realized it was my porch light and not his light... His comment was, yeah, I noticed... LOL - paulcardozaExplorerLOL! Quoting Don Imus --- "I'm not happy, until you're not happy!"

These are the people my Dad referred to as "The only time they seem to be happy is when everyone around them is sad". - 4X4DodgerExplorer IIMy my my, what a list of grievances. Is no one Happy? The Rude people, litterers and Me-Firsters arent happy and neither are those that have to deal with them.
What WE ALL need to do is conduct ourselves with a bit of CIVILITY, GOOD MANNERS and RESPECT for others. Consideration of others seems to be a lost concept.
Leave the ME FIRST AT ALL COSTS mentality at home, or better yet get rid of it altogether. It doesnt make you happy, it just makes you a BOOR.
Just being nice and being a good neighbor will go a long way to making a lot of the chronically unhappy folks I read here a lot more serene and content.
I often wonder what my Mother would make of some of these posters and their ideas of manners. They would not have survived their childhood I fear if they were my Mothers children.
I know the above sounds a bit utopian in todays world of Reality(?) TV, and the general coarseness of society But it does work. - SpeedogomerExplorer

I do have a proper sound system at my house, and a custom Memphis/alpine set up in my truck, doesn't mean I don't like a little background music at my campsite while I enjoy natute. Nature can have a soundtrack too.
Also your post implies Pink Floyd is all we listen to, it's just one example. - colliehaulerExplorer III

I bought a LED light strip specifically to be more discret. I can dim it to its lowest setting and make them red (which is easier on the eyes) it just puts a very dim glow just enough so I can see but really isn't nearly as noticeable as a large amber light or porch light.
Also I keep my outside speakers reasonable, so that others want gear them, if no one else is near my site, I turn them up more. I can't resist a little more volume for Pink Floyd if no one else is around.
Speakers reasonable and Pink Floyd?....can't happen, (as I'm searching for new speakers for my truck). My husband gives me (*&^ every time Pink Floyd comes on the radio, cuz no matter where I am, office at work (which we share), his truck or our stake truck....Oh ya MAMA IS BLASTIN LOL
Amen brother... I installed (interior) kick butt speakers into my 76 amerigo TC. They are JBL 's that are unbelievably awesome sounding (and loud). There can be no holding back on the volume when a Pink Floyd is playing. That would be sacreligious.
Or would that be Animals I guess I'm having a Momentary lapse of reason although this thread does have Echoes of prior threads. Wish you were here so you could hear my sound system, it's clear as a Division Bell.
You forgot Dark side of the moon and the Wall:B
Definitely have to twist the volume when Pink Floyd is playing.
It wasn't until much later in life I found out where the name Pink Floyd came from.
