- bid_timeNomad IIIt's amazing how a few awning lights and other similar knick-knacks get so many people psychotic. I like mine. Sorry if I ruin your vacation!
- Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer IITwice now, we've been parked next to RVs who seem to have kids taking Klompen Dancing lessons in the trailer??? LOL!!! We don't say anything - they're having fun and we're in bed after THEY go to bed :-) We're just amazed at how far the sounds of kids stomping around in an RV can travel....
- Uncle_GrumpyExplorerI usually am not a complainer, even about the 38 degrees and rain here in south TX. But things are going down hill. Last week good friends left for AZ. What does the park management do, moves (drags) a disabled old motor home next door. Covered in tarps with a whole bunch of stuff on the ground. Tomorrow our other good neighbors are moving and one of the park employees is coming with their old crappy motor home along with a few hundred plants, nicknacks and a pet DUCK! My two hunting dogs are not gonna like that. We may move..

What really gets me is those quiet dark campgrounds with no pets and kids and friendly neighbors... If I wanted all that peace I might as well stay home...
I really like people singing, kids playing, etc... at a distance. I have rough camped nearly my whole life so RVing is very new. My RVan seems to be well insulated and I dont have a problem with noise altho I have my TV on inside. RVing is more like where I live in a big city with neighbors close by and have learned how to get along nicely. I been lucky, good neighbors, good RV camping. My only real problem is wood smoke as I have asthma, but then I go inside and turn on the air conditioner which filters it out. Couple years ago I was absolutely gobsmacked by people sitting around a roaring blaze in the 100oF heat. - drsoloNomad

DO YOU REALLY THINK A BIRD WILL COME ALONG AND EAT IT OR SOMETHING... NO! SOMEONE HAS TO PICK UP YOUR NASTY MESS!
Actually, it has been shown that birds that pick up the butts and use them to build their nests have babies with a much lower pest load. The nicotine left in the butts leaches into the nest and kills skin crawlies on the baby and adult birds. Nicotine has been a commonly used plant insecticide for a very long time.
That being said, as a smoker I break off the filter when I am done and tuck that into a pocket to ditch it at home cause I dont like looking at them either. - Dakota98Explorer

But it is my understanding that everything that has been complained about so far is OK if it is a Wal-Mart parking lot!!!
Walmart would do well to start & sponsor an annual event & name it "TO THE WALL"
Something along the line of Sturgis, but with RV's only & everyone gathers for a weekend of loud genny's, loud music, loud children, barking dogs, lots of beer & FUN !!!!
Got to go now, I'm on my way to talk with a Walmart manager. :B - lakeside013104ExplorerWhile reading these posts to my DW out load, she says: "Kids and dogs are only as smart as their owners".
That statement pretty much explains SOME unacceptable behavior.

You left out generators and porch lights.
If you have to light up your campsite like an airport runway all night you have a problem.
Amen to this. Their fear of darkness invades my solitude with light that blocks out the stars in the sky and removes the blanket of dark nights from my otherwise nude body rendering a sight that invades my camping neighbors tranquility. :E
Lakeside - Wagonqueen_TrucExplorerObviously you have no idea what you are talking about. I never even said that I played my music at the volume that would affect any other campers . All I said was that I like turn it up (how far up was not mentioned) when I hear certain artists. Also if you saw how insulated ( and I should know cause I built it) and sound proof my old TC is, there is no way that anyone hears what goes on inside... I am not an ignorant, callous, or inconsiderate camper or person. However you seem to have an agenda against something for some reason... Let me see... Nice when you camp, but rude on the forums is ok with you I suppose.
