I remember the days of tent camping and using a very large enameled pot for hot water and an enameled percolator for a number of years. Durn, but those were some good times... Anyway, there were several times that we were told that it wasn't safe to use them either... Wow,just how many hundred years have folks been using those enameled pots? The big pot went into service when my parents started family tenting in '54 and I inherited it from them when my dad died in '80 and then gave it to my #1 son 15 years ago when we moved from a popup to a TT and they're out 15-20 weekends a year tenting and they are still using it with no side effects. I did find the percolator 10 years ago when changing TTs and they are using that too.
C'mon folks,it doesn't matter what we do,someones gonna find something bad about it.
