Norcold 811 Refrez

Question

I have a Norcold 811 refrez. When I turn it on I get the red light flashing 3 time every 6sec. The manual tells me that this is a temperature limit switch problem.

Have you every heard of this or have a solution. I have been told to open door and hold the ON button for a long time (HAHA) but really.

Any help here would be great, thanks.

You should probably get it to a reputable shop soon. Check RVServiceReviews before choosing.

Not sure if you might not have other problems with it, Norcold has had big problems with several models, and yours is one of them. Several recalls due to injury fires, up to and including deaths. So having a knowledgeable shop look at it would be the best course of action, IMO.

Found the problem! Based on the code given by the flashing light it was an open temp limit switch. Bad connection on the limit switch.Thanks again for your replies.Mark
