Norcold-not so cold

I am baffled by my new Norcold N811 refer still under warranty in my 2014 Denali TT 287RE. The first three trips I brought it home and started the fridge. The parking in front of my house is 1.8 degrees sided to side (the cooler box) and about 2.2 front to back. (well within the operating limits of 3 and 6 degrees respectively. After the third trip of perfect operation th fridge has stopped operating except in almost perfect level (gas or electric). Could the fridge be that picky or is there another reason? Operates well in transit and at campsite on 30/ 50 amp. Fridge has flame and heat but no cool while operating on battery in front of house. Battery is good 12 V. Any ideas or experience appreciated.
  • I think there is a fan available as an add on for the vent area of the frig. Sounds like this is what you need since it cools down on the road.

  • Not cooling ond either. The fan in the coil area was working. This non cooling overnight continued before I first discovered this problem. I worried about damage but have since been on two outings with the fridge working very well in transit and o. 30 amp in the campgrounds. The led showed steady with no flashing of either auto, gas or green light.
  • Not cooling on gas or electric.........

    Air flow across cooling coil

Does it have a 'fan' in outside compartment?

When this lack of cooling occurred was the ON LED flashing?

With the 90/95*F ambient air temps....how long did you operate fridge before you decided it wasn't cooling?
  • It was 90 /95 on the days in question. The fridge was on the sun side. The temp just kept rising. Ok when moving, cools fast. But not on gas(burner burning or heater heating) or 110 when parked at house. Worked ok T dealer when dead level.
  • How hot is it outside? I live in west texas and to start the fridge it takes two days to get cold, unless I use a fan on the coils to help it out, then it cools in about 6 hours. Of course it was 105 that day. :)
