Oil Filter Question

Question

Is there an online cross-reference that will identify different brands oil filters by size and thread?  What I want to do is find a longer (= more filtration surface area) filter for the Camry, hopefully without plowing thru 100s of filter specs one by one.  Camry would take a 12" long filter if someone made one that long.

What year Camry and which engine?Toyota makes some longer filters that will fit, though they are used on other aplications.

Not exactly what you are looking for bu AMSOil has an add on filter that is really something.

Camry would take a 12" long filter if someone made one that long.Why? I have a Mazda that has over 300,000 on it. Does not use oil and runs like a top. No fancy synthetic oils or fancy filters. I bet the filter is somewhere around 3" long. :EUnless you're doing extended drains there should not be that much contamination in the oil to clog up a factory filter.
