Last year we got caught by surprise by a few coin-only, non-attendant toll gates in FL. If that happens, make a note of the Toll Gate number and the website address. Once home, you go to the website, tell when you passed that station, and make a payment.
Getting a SunPass is easy - most drugstores and grocery stores sell them, then you register your unit with SunPass online. It's also cheaper - the toll is less $ electronically, than paid in cash. I just don't drive near Chicago enough to justify having the E-Pass; but am happy that my Sunpass will work some day.
