Our old metal trucks don't have a actual payload number but I've had 44 bags of concrete on a pallet in the back of mine before. It wasn't quite on the bumps with the air bags and total weight including the pallet per Home Depot was 3,990 pounds. I'd never go on a extended trip with that load nor make it a normal occurrence but I'll never forget that number.
I know lots of newer truck have issues hauling stupid weights like that because more of the bed is behind the axle than in front and it tends to bend the frame. Usually it is the smaller half tons but the f450 also can have the issue. We call it reverse Taco'd.
