Ordering RV products at best price online

I need a Blue Ox tow vehicle bracket and have found them listed online from $340 clear up to $500 and several inbetween. The $340 is from a company i haven't ordered from before, Amazon is $347 (but even one of the reviewers stated they didn't get the cables that are supposed to be included from Amazon), and $395 is from a company I've ordered from before and usually get the item in 3-4 days including week-ends.

Two weeks ago I ordered a hitch light bar for the rear of my Wrangler toad from an unfamiliar truck equipment company at 18% lower than the next best price but received a very much used mount. Granted they did replace it after an e-mail to them but it was only a 7# $45 item. Now I'll be looking at a 37# $400 +- item and trying to decide if it will be worth cutting on price.

Anyone like to state their experience ordering from Amazon (and how a bad problem was solved if happened) or an unknown source, good or bad?

    Ordered from TowblueOx earlier this week. Free shipping also. All part arrived 3 days later and I am installing them now. No issues

    I found the best price on the Blue Ox base plate from TowBlueOx.com but can't find anything out about them. Only a phone number, no address or location.
    Anyone ever heard of them or ordered from them. They even beat Amazon on price.

    If I am completely sure about the part - I tend to use Amazon. I don't buy on E-Bay.

    If I have any questions about the part or questions, I use e-trailer.com.

    I find them a very easy company to work with and I can get someone who can answer any questions, both pre sale and after delivery about the part, installation, etc.

    We buy almost all of our RV related products from Amazon and Walmart. If we don't need it right away, we get it from Amazon (have Prime). If we need it right away, we take a drive to Walmart. We also live less than a mile from Coastal GA RV Resort. They have a pretty decent assortment of RV related products. We have purchased a few small things from them.

    I always take negative reviews with a grain of salt. If a lot of people were complaining that the tow bar didn't come with cables, then there's a good chance they company doesn't sell them with the cables. If one reviewer wrote it, it was probably just a one time issue. Amazon's customer service is very good, I'm sure they corrected the problem with little hassle.

    We live rural, sorta, and it cost more to go into town and find something than buy it online. We use Amazon extensively when buying general use products. We have a few specialty online vendors we use as well.

    With Amazon, we've never had a problem. Might cost a few bucks more on some items (we always cost check too) but for a few bucks, the Amazon shipping and return policy is great. We've never had an issue, and have been either replace or refunded immediately on the few occasions we were dissatisfied. Amazon is definitely a 'favor the customer' company.

    It seems I get all of my RV items from LOWES-WALMART-AMAZON...

    The two day PRIME shipping from AMAZON is better then going to town to pick up something for me.

    If you have the PART NUMBER chances are AMAZON will come up with the item... Like SCOTT says above it will all come crumbling down one of these days just like Sears and Roebuck. AMAZON is indeed my old Sears and Roebuck catalog company.

    I usually search Google Shopping with the part number and purchase from the lowest priced reputable company. Only time I have had an occasional problem was buying used items on eBay, never have had trouble buying from any reputable company.

    I never had a problem ordering from Amazon. Returns are never an issue either. They leverage their vendors with an iron fist and service is second to none.
    But, they are destroying the competition and I'm afraid of what will happen when they no longer have any competition. So I've started buying elsewhere.
    (And this is from a guy who has Amazon stock).
