Sorry your weekend was spoiled by inconsiderate neighbors. Hopefully your next trip will be more enjoyable. However I do have something of a pet peeve regarding the claiming of campsites. In my opinion, until you PAY for the site, it is there for the taking of whoever pays for it first. Putting out coolers and lawn chairs a day or two before you occupy the site should not be good enough. But if campground owners and managers allow it, what can you do? It basically all boils down to management, but if I managed a campground it would seem to be much easier to avoid conflicts by requiring payment prior to occupancy. I would rather do that than referee an altercation any day. Seems like it takes a thicker skin these days to avoid getting upset by inconsiderate people and the pets and kids. One good thing about getting old, we get to go more often when kids and large families are working and at school.
