PA turnpike
For the seventh year in a row, there is a toll increase. A 5% increase goes into effect today for cash and EZ pass. There is a new 9 cent per gallon gas tax, too.

I actually like driving the turnpike going west.Lots of room and plenty of places to pull over.But the tolls are way out of line.As to the question what happened to the money? A few years ago,former Governor Rendell and the legislature thought they would be able to toll I80.That was rejected by the feds.But they made the turnpike commission give millions of dollars every year to PennDOT in anticipation of the money they thought they would get from tolling I80.I think that will end in 2018.
