Everyone that I have talked to that had the replacement all said it was the best think that they could have done( after the bulk of the pain subsided) Quite frequently there is minor pain in the surrounding tissue that can be alleviated with OTC meds.. My brother who is 4 years younger than me just had his done and is getting ready for the other knee. What helps me is to try to be thankful for the things that I can still do rather than thinking about what I can't do. I am sure you will be walking for your DD baby shower in November and look forward to traveling again with your DH.
