I was one person whose knee replacement did not work. I'm sorry I ever had it and wish I had my off loading brace back. The Smith and Nephew knee was put in rotated. I could not bend it.
Surgical manipulation was a failure. No one really investigated the issue and I was told it was scar tissue. After 2.5 years of PT I found a specialist that found the problem. He replaced it with a Stryker knee. Now I can't straighten it.
I have continuous nerve pain and hip and back pain now.The leg doesn't reach the ground so everything is crooked.
I'm going in for a nerve block after 4 years. I need some relief and the Fentanyl patch has terrible side effects.
If you have a tendency to build scar tissue think good and hard before having a knee replacement
