I have noticed some rv's put matts or even wood blocks under their tires when storing their units, is this a good idea? if so, why?
thanks

Any barrier between the ground and tire that will keep water or other unwanted liquids from permeating into the tire carcass is a good idea and highly recommended.
FastEagle - D___MExplorerThere is a theory that parking a vehicle on concrete affects the rubber in the tires. I don't know if it is valid or not, but I have never done it and I have not had issues with tires. However, the price of a few plastic cutting boards or a couple of pieces of lumber is cheap enough if you feel so inclined to do it.
Moisture and UV rays are the enemy of tires.
