Patio Mats

What are the most durable Patio Mats? We have the "Solid Steps" and they stick out so far when down that our patio mat is underneath the steps. The two feet on the bottom have ripped through the standard polypropylene mat we bought on Amazon. It's the same quality as those sold at Walmart and Camping World. The mat isn't more than 3/16" thick. Even the feet on camping chairs have caused indents and stretching. There's no tears there but the weave has separated so there's now holes in the mat. This isn't from rough use either. Just normal sitting and relaxing and general movement in the chairs! By the time an hour has gone by, the mat is permanently marred or a new hole is created. I'm interested in something more durable and thicker. Does anyone have a mat that stands up to being used at places other than a concrete patio where it isn't really necessary in the first place?

I find that RV park rule unreasonable for a two night weekend stay. In places that do allow our breathable mat, no grass damage or discoloring occurs ever. We enjoy RV parks that aren't that rigid.
I'll be the first to admit my parks cannot, and do not try, to please everyone. You like to put out your mats and our experience is mats kill the grass, putting us at loggerhead. This is why all restaurants are not McDonalds, not everyone wants burgers all the time and McDonalds doesn't want to serve sushi.
  • Moderator, can you please delete this thread I started. I asked if anyone knew of a more durable Patio Mat and it somehow became a thread about Dying grass and Campground etiquette. It isn't helpful and or relevant to the thread topic.
  • We have two from Costco, I don't see them on their website, but they are just a plain gray indoor/outdoor carpet. I think they were only like $20, and they have lasted us now 4 years. Even had them stapled down to plywood before while boondocking at a music festival. Pulled the staples out and they still look fine.
