Yes, you choose how many steps you need. They are also adjustable both at the top step and the feet at the bottom. The website for them shows the various step combinations, and also gives info on how to measure.

Go to "Find Your Fit" in the red bar at the top of the page. Then scroll down to "accessories" and click on it. That will open a PDF and then scroll down near the bottom of the PDF for a chart that shows all the different combinations of steps and model numbers.
The reason we have two different steps is because the ground is a little higher in the rear and our trailer is on its' permanent site and not towed anymore. Normally you don't need two sets of steps unless you use the rear door constantly - which we do.
