In those days (50's) the trailers were not considered RV's but rather living quarters for traveling construction workers and other short term jobs. I remember a nice girl who played a soprano saxophone in band for the few months they were there. I felt sorry for her having to move so often.
We seem to have gone full circle as more RV parks are being filled by itinerant folks. For many years trailer parks served that market and most of the trailers were in the thirty-foot range.
