Yeah the Shell station pic is a beautiful Spartan Manor house trailer of that era. They had no holding tanks/no 12v system/no fresh water tanks .....just the usual house trailer hook ups to city water and 110v electric. These units were the Cadillac of the house trailers in the late '40s up till 1960 when the plant here in Tulsa, OK was closed.
Spartan did build special fleet orders for rr companies/oil and gas companies.
Some units were just sleeping quarter units/some were shower or bath house units/some were kitchen units/some were set up just for eating area. Some had the usual running gear...some were made on I beam as a sled for dragging across the desert during oil and gas exploration and RR companies building tracks way out in the middle of no where here in the USA and over seas.
