Gotta love it!
Last week we were the ONLY state with livable temperatures!
Nope you won't get me back into Wisconsin.....ever! :C
I understand - it was way down to 70 degrees yesterday in California and it was so crowded at the beach - there were at least a dozen people on the mile long stretch where we were. And no humidity ever! - paulm999ExplorerJust a note: These weather maps tend to be misleading when temp reported on the map are from coastal cities and higher elevations. For instance, the map posted on page one of this thread shows San Diego high of 56 and LA of 48. That same day, 40 miles North of San Diego, inland where I live it was 74. Yesterday, It was 88 where I live. That is 88 without any bugs and without any humidity.
- BillB800siExplorerFlorida has one thing I want in the winter. WARMTH !!!
I could care less about zoos- museums- restaurants- we have all of that in Michigan. What we don't have is WARMTH !!
So off we go to Florida..... - John_JoeyExplorer

That's because we all jumped into our rigs and are driving over to your place. Rumor is the beer is on you. :B - BCSnobExplorer

My point was not about elevatation; it was about changes in elevation. KS, NE, DE, and Washington DC have greater elevation changes than FL.
Ok, let's put this notion that the highest point in FL is a bridge. The highest point is 345' above sea level and is in northwest FL. The road bed of the Skyway Bridge in Tampa is only 175'. Of course if you were able to stand on the top of the towers of the bridge you would be higher since it is 430', but mere mortals are not allowed up there. - IvylogExplorer IIIOnly going to get up to 74 today in WPB from a low of 62:B Have not heard much from those in TX??? Guess those lows in the 40,s & 50,s are getting to them and it's not winter yet.
Sorry for the poor picture but only way I've found to keep it from changing. - Bob_ShawExplorerFor those of you who do not like Florida, God bless you, and thank you. I really think you should go to Texas, Arizona, or Southern California, or maybe even Mexico, anywhere but Florida. Me? I'll spend my winters in Florida. If we all went to Florida, it would be unbearable, and unaffordable. I found a little park in south central Florida that is very affordable, in the middle of orange groves with good inexpensive golf and excellent fishing all around us. I like spending my winters in shorts and sandals.
- mr__edExplorerI've been staying in central Florida for the past two months. The weather was surely the best in the nation (possible exceptions: Calif. & So. AZ) for quite a while. It's cooled down again but still nice. Had two tornadoes in Fl last night and this morning, but not near here. I usually stay in Southern AZ for the winter but made an exception this year to visit family. To tell the truth, I still prefer the southwest....

I have a few reasons to not like Flordia, Weather... not even close to the list. - PawPaw_n_GramExplorerFunny, my step-son says something similar whenever we talk about going down to Fort Lauderdale for the winter. Of course that was before we bought a livable trailer, and he does have a very nice mother-in-law suite on his home.
