I carried a CAR QUEST Power-Pak, 12 volt DC for several years and was able to use it several times assisting others. The one time I needed to jump my own car I had forgotten to charge it and it was as dead as my car battery.:S Finally, the internal battery stopped holding a charge. I plan on replacing it as soon as possible and will be following this post. Thanks for asking the question.
