- bob213ExplorerI have the same one and originally gave mine poor marks. But after moving it indoors instead of leaving outside to cope with 100+ degrees I have to eat my words. Indoors it pumps out the ice and keeps a well insulated large ice chest going for many days.
- robatthelakeExplorerThere are a couple of different sizes ,but apart from that They All appears to be identical in function, operation ! I have noticed that the Air circulation fins can be located in different places of the Plastic Shells? They also come in different Colors!
Ours is branded RCA ,bought at Walmart Canada for $90 .it is Silver coloured Plastic!
When I was looking ,I saw the same Machine branded as a Salton,Cuisinart.,Magic Chef, and several Other well known Name Brands! All appear to be well made , and Prices are all over the place! - littlemoExplorerThanks for the encouraging replies! I've never had a portable ice maker but will need when I start "almost" full timing!
- gclossExplorerI purchased a Magic Chef ice maker for $93 at Home Depot during a July 4th sale. We love this unit and wouldn't camp without one now.
Magic Chef - B_O__PlentyExplorer IIThere are several brands that are all the same. They just have a different name on the front. The $99.00 Wal-Mart version is exactly the same as the $279.00 Dometic at CW. I have a cheap Emerson from Target. It does what it's supposed to do.
B.O. - KA4EBUExplorerHave used several over the years and now using the IGLOO. Got it for 99.00 at Walmart a while back. Love it. We use a lot of ice and this saves a lot of money.
