Portable Ice maker
What kind of water do you use in your portable ice makers, saw that tap water and distilled doesn't work well for very long..

- Tap water. Distilled water tastes "blah", deionized water tastes worse.
- Tap water from our well.
- We use a Camco Evo water filter, so far no issues using tap water in ours.
- We use tap water, unless it tastes odd, and then bottled drinking water. Either way has always been just fine. We've had our ice maker over 7 years, and it works like a charm still.
- Plain ole drinking water in mine...no taste or function issues...but then the Crown would cover any ice taste anyway...lol.
- Tap water 100% of the time, works perfectly.
- Out of the tap, into the ice maker!
- we use machine dispensed reverse osmosis ? water for our ice machine

We have a Brita Filtered water pitcher that we use to fill the ice machine. Takes the nasty tatse out of the ice. Going on three years with our machine and no problems
X2- Bottled spring water for all drinking and ice since CG water varies too much in quality/taste to count on.
