We have an Igloo brand one (although they all look pretty much the same) that we got on Woot.com for like $100 a couple of years ago. Like others have said, we set it up outside on a small folding table and use it to replenish our drink cooler which we keep going 24/7. We also keep a baggie of ice in the freezer to harden up for mixed drinks. In spring and fall, the ice maker pretty much keeps up with our needs. When the weather gets warmer, it cuts down the need to buy ice from daily to every second or third day, so it seems to be paying it's way ...
