Portable RV Soft Water

Have been looking around and trying to find a soft water system that is no hassle and doesn't require a lot of maintenance.

Found this Portable Soft Water

Could use it even at home at the faucet to wash cars.

Anyone have one of these and any suggestions. We stayed 5 months in Las Vegas and I fought the hard water the entire time. Time to do something about it.

Thanks

X2. I've dealt with them for years. Its a brother/sister act. They really know their stuff.
  • I bought one from CW about 6 years ago. It's the black one and requires recharging every 6 seeks or so. Must use 10 cups of rock salt. I have no scaling in any of the water outlets in the coach.

Looked at the clicky and this is the one
Travelsoft RV 1200, manual charge, 22" tall, 8" diameter, 31 pounds. Rated at 10,000 grains. $28 shipping by UPS.
  • This device supposedly works by converting the dissolved Calcium Carbonate in water to an insoluble form called "Aragonitite" through some kind of magical principle.

There is no such thing as "Aragonitite." There is a crystalline form of Calcium Carbonate called Aragonite but this raises the obvious question - If this company has the scientific expertise and knowledge of Calcium Carbonate chemistry to make such a device, why can't they spell the name of the end product correctly?
  • Ah, magic magnets.
my BIL used the blue one from camping world and he seemed to like it. didn't work by black magic however.
