We have that model of hot tub at home.I would think a 12 volt pump wouldn't have the same pumping power as the stock AC pump who's heat that is given off by the pump motor is used to heat the water and keep it warm. It's a simple & very
efficient system in it's stock set up. Once the water is heated, it uses little
power to operate per month. I would try using it while RV'ing at long term
places you will be staying with AC power is you can. Then see if it's worth all
the trouble of hauling around before doing a 12 volt pump / propane heating mod.

portable spas are already out there...
people we know have this one and use at summer cabin.
they fill from stream with 12volt pump with filter.
they also use bio-degradable chems.

How about a small trailer to pull the empty hot tub in? You can fill it at the camp ground with water. Empty it will not weigh much. If you need a toad it can be a small flatbed truck with the hot tub in that.

Take pics of what you do get so we can either admire it or laugh at it.

You may live in one, but from you comments I don't think you really grasp what traveling in an RV entails.

Like I posted earlier..get some experience traveling in an RV and using an RV on the road first - then start thinking about a hot tub..maybe.

Long hoses, drawing water from streams, heating enough water for a hot tub off the grid and, "dump water in allowed locations if needed," is not going to get it.

Will the ShurFlo pump work with hot water? There are 12 volt hot water circulating pumps available.

I already live full time in my rv and yes im new 2 traveling in it but not living in it. Also I live and work outdoors for a living and plan to not use campsites as stated. If im parked living/working in one spot for a month or 2 i think its a worth while project. Also i should mention i plan on an extended hose to fill the tub from streams/creeks or faucets and also to dump water in allowed locations if needed.

Good advice, set the hot tub aside until you have more experience. I think you will find that using and emptying it will be a MAJOR problem in most RV parks. They will certainly get upset dumping the water on the ground regardless of you assurances it's (just water)
