Portable waste tanks

We are going to the Kentucky Horse Park and plan to spend 5 days. It has elec/water but no sewer hook ups.

I would luke some info on the portable waste tanks. Type and capacity, and if the ones that have the handle that hooks on to your hitch is a commonly used item.

This is our first time without a full hookup and am in the dark on this subject. Don't really want to tear down/set up a couple of times just to go empty at the dump station.

Thanks,

WKRP
  • I would recommend larger capacity, 25 or more gals. Definitely get one that attaches to a hitch. You do not want to have to lift or carry it. I have a Barker but I believe that the Thetfords are also well-made. I personally have used mine only for grey water, but I guess that depends on your personal sensibilities. I suspect the tanks work with whatever you put in them.
